Hugh advises founders and leadership teams of engineering and professional services firms through their most consequential strategic decisions — growth, recapitalization, and exit — drawing on two decades of M&A experience across services and technology.
Prior to joining EFCG, Hugh built his career as a Managing Director at Cascadia Capital, where he founded the Business Services practice, advising companies across services and technology and developing particular insight into the digital transformation and PE-backed consolidation dynamics reshaping the engineering sector today. Prior to Cascadia, Hugh worked at IB Partners, a boutique M&A advisor based in Santiago, Chile.
Hugh earned his MBA with Honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
A native of South Carolina, Hugh lives in the Seattle area with his wife and their three children. Outside of work, he is passionate about outdoor pursuits — surfing, skiing, hiking, and camping — and is actively involved in youth sports. His approach to advising clients is grounded in the same principles: deliberate thinking, long-term perspective, and a genuine commitment to outcomes that matter.
Hugh is a Registered Representative of EFCG Transaction Services LLC, member of FINRA.
