Alan Kao is a Principal and Global Director for ESG Services at Ramboll. Alan has more than 30 years of experience in ESG and EHS due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, compliance auditing, and strategic regulatory compliance assistance. He
works with financial, legal, and corporate clients to help them understand ESG risks and opportunities in M&A transactions. Alan assists companies with identifying priority
ESG topics, evaluating the competitive landscape through benchmarking studies, setting targets that align with the companies’ ambitions, and defining implementation roadmaps and communication strategies to achieve their ESG objectives. He also
works with clients to evaluate climate resiliency issues and assess physical and transition risks associated with climate change, as well as navigating the evolving
landscape of sustainability reporting and disclosures (e.g. SFDR, CSRD, CSDDD).
